PCCL is a big big league but no one knows about this league. Even if the champions of the champions battle for each other for the trophy and fame for their school it must be crazy for the student-athlete.Now the battle is ended to the two teams DLSU v.s SWU. A national capital region school v.s a Visayans school. A catholic school v.s Private. The Favorite to win v.s the Contradict of views of man. A powerful and mighty team against the underdogs. A school of known school v.s a not renown school. A tenure of full of championships against the tenure of possibility of a championship one day for the national championship. DLSU won on 2008 when the team was full of athletic and a mindset player like Simon Atkins, Bader Malabes, Rico Maierhofer, Joseph Evans Casio, Tyrone Tang, Pocholo Villanueva, PJ Walsham.
Another venture in PCCL is that it is national biut every time their is provincial teams like in Northern part of the country or the middle part of the country or the south part of the country. Only Manila teams win. the first team to win this prestigious event game is on January - February tenure is the UE red warriors on the Mark Borboran, Bonbon Custodio and Elmer Espiritu side. It was all foe who was UAAP's Final four bid.Gaining a win against the UAAP champion FEU. But next year FEU came back alive who won the UAAP in 2003 came back alive to get their first throphy with the help of Arwind Santos led tamaraws.They struggle but the heart of a champions were their. they beg their throphy to the Morayta and
came back against the San Sebastian Stags. They win it and become back to back champs. The UE got their revenge. Again they won the 2006 PCCL championships. It was against the tough San Beda Red Lions who was aiming the no.1 in the league. They were good poise of tall and power players. This was the last championship of UE in the league then came the Ateneo Blue Eagles who revenge thir lose to the DLSU in the final four. Chris Tiu banner them with Ford Arao, Rabeh Al-Hussaini, Noy Baclao, Eric Salamat,Jai Reyes and Kirk Long. Long hopes for this 2007 team as they craved for a championship. Losing to their rivalry team. I mean their longest rivalry team all over the years. But the revenge is gonna be their in UAAP. They win against the tough Greg Slaughter's University of Visayas Webmasters. Gregzilla is the most effective big man who can joined them for the 2011 and 2012 campaign. After their lose Ford Arao in 2010, Chris tiu for the 2009 season, the two big man Noy Baclao and Rabeh Al-Hussaini for the 2011 season. So they get Eman Monfort on their team B and also Gregzilla who was get for UV. But again the rivalry neverstops in this two big school as Ateneo win the UAAP championship against La Salle. The La Salle renewed their championship in PCCL. As La Salle took off their revenge. But after the graduating of 2008 rosters. They came back again for 2013 season in the help of Jeron Teng who came from Xavier University High School, helping L.A Revilla, Armond Vosotros, The Torres Brothers Thomas and Norbert, and AVO/ Arnold Van Opstal. The Ateneo has now 5 PCCL championship appearnce losing 2011 and 2012 first is on Calvin Abueva's San Sebastian Stags and Jeric Teng's UST Tigers. But they won as back to back to FEU Tamaraws and Adamson Falcons on 2009 and 2010 finals appearance. The tamaraws are seeking for the revenge but they loosen their hope and they scramble in the end of the 2nd half. Also the Adamson Falcons who lost to them in the final four seek a revenge but lose hope in the end of the 2nd half. gaining a turnover in the last. But Abueva feeling it he can take the trophy for his school against the tough Gregzilla's Ateneo. Also UST got their revenge after they were defeat by the Ateneo in 2012 UAAP finals. The two Jeric combined points to answer Gregzilla's Ateneo. It was a long journey for the two Jeric which is Jeric Fortuna and Jeric Teng to take aside their defeat.
